Mia has started assisting me with our dog, who is carrying trauma from his early life. He essentially doesnโ€™t trust the world outside of our home, leading to a high-strung nervous system, reactivity at the gate, anxiety with strangers in our home, and fear-based aggression towards certain dogs. Beneath this behavior lies of course a truly loving and gentle soul.

Mia and I collaborate online using Zoom. She conducts her sessions with great compassion, deep listening skills, and creativity tailored to our situation. I truly value her input and guidance throughout this process. Working with the Trust Technique has been very rewarding, as it avoids further stimulating the nervous system with treats or high-pitched voices. Instead, it creates a calm and peaceful space that allows for self-realization, deep healing, and learning.

I understand that this is a long process, as trauma, whether in humans or animals, has no quick fixes. Thatโ€™s okay. Having Mia by my side during this period is incredibly valuable, as she believes in and understands that behavior can shift and change.

So far, weโ€™ve already seen wonderful results, such as very positive experiences with visitors, much gentler interactions with other dogs, and less reactivity to noises outside the house. What I love most is seeing our doggie transition to an attitude of โ€œI can do this; I think I feel more comfortable in this world.โ€ That is simply the best.

Thank you, Mia, for guiding us so wonderfully. I highly recommend your services and approach to anyone looking to bring more trust, peace and ease into their animalโ€™s life.
